Each MMB Company dancer's family commits to volunteering 40 hours from September through May. The entire community pitching in together is what makes the company's performances possible.

As part of their 40 hours, each family should work at least one of each of the following shift types:

• One Special Events Shift - at Ballet & Barre-BQ, Land of Sweets @ The Nutcracker, or the Wizard of Oz special event (name TBD),

• One Backstage Shift - such as tech crew, costumes, quick change, or end-of-year recital shift, and

• One Load-out Shift at The Nutcracker, the 2027 Spring Performance (Wizard of Oz), or the End of Year Recital.

Unmet hours: required to pay a fee of $20 per missing volunteer hour, up to a maximum fine of $800.
